Tea in Texas

I bought my husband a book "Texas Wit & Wisdom" by Wallace Chariton for Christmas. It had a somewhat cute joke about a Texas Tea.

"The mom was having some ladies over for tea. She was busy entertaining so she asked her daughter to prepare the tea, which the little girl did promptly. Naturally the guest went on and on about how good the tea was to make the little girl feel good.
After about the tenth compliment, the daughter sighed heavily. "Oh, I'm so glad you like it," she said, "I was afraid it wouldn't be good."

"And why is that dear" asked the mom.

"Well," replied the girl, "I couldn't find the tea strainer so I used the fly swatter."
