LEMON ZEST

The Evolution of a Lemon Tablescape

Tablescaping is so exciting when you begin with one idea and then morphs into magic!
My journey began at Pottery Barn with pretty lemon pattern plates on their sophistication tablescape! The plates and some accessories are in my bag and home they go.
Of course there is always a cliff hanger in a good tale, mine continues with a shopping trip where the beautiful Royal Doulton "Carmina" china set comes into my view.  Oh Joy! In the center of the salad plate is a lemon tree! Gleeful! The dinner plate has more lemons!
The main character, me, decides on a change of plans for her table! You can guess these are just perfect and are carried home quickly. She calls Replacements to add a few pieces to complete her 6 place setting!
Being a lover of tea, she sets out a complementary green plaid "Ralth Lauren Handkerchief" teapot, the "Carmina" cup and saucer.....
Band the Twinings "Lemon Scented Tea" tin.....
to steep the scent of lemons and tea!
She, me, was fortunate to find Stauffer's Lemon Snaps cookies when strolling through World Market! So Yummy!
Her design starts with a tree centered in the middle of the table balanced by lemon filled apothecary jars.
To the left of the center, adds more lemons and candles for a sunny side.
Even lemon scented trees grace the table!
The lemon yellow candle is surrounded by large and smaller lemons in Williams Sonoma glass hurricane lamps.
Hoping her guests will sit and smile at the sunlight sunbright place settings.
While placing the salad plate with a lemon tree in the middle she hums the song, "Lemon Tree very pretty and the lemon flower is sweet but the fruit of the lemon is impossible to eat"!
The Royal Doulton design is complete with lemons and olives in the dinner plate.
She adds green contrast to yellow and scalloped design with a place plate.
Yellow, yellow in the placemat, napkin, napkin ring,......
and darling tiny lemon tree place card holder ready for her write each guest's name!
She can add an extra design option with the olive salad plate.
To quinch her guests thirst with lemonade will be served in the famous lemon slice glassware from Dollar Tree.
Tea and lemon cookies will be served for dessert at the closing.....
and the Zest of the Tale told in the final.
