Let's Party!!

 It is time for St. Patrick's Day, the table is set.



The leprechauns are ready to play a tune with their instruments. One even brought his pot of gold coins. Are you smart enough to catch him and make him share his treasure with you?

The shades of green represent the coming of Spring, the candles and their holders are from clear to white, spring green, grassy green, chartreuse and forest green.

Your place is set for you, so sit and enjoy the party.

The leprechaun is dancing a gig as the music floats through the air.

A lovely luncheon plate will be used to serve the traditional corn beef and cabbage. 



Stepping on the bowler derby, he carries the Irish tune with his horn and sing "O' Danny Boy".



The perfect china for St. Paddy's Day is Copeland Spode's "Shamrock". I love the embossed pattern of green.



The pipe, the pipe is calling O' Danny Boy to the table. 

The lovely pale shade of green in the linens are  balanced by the green in the napkin.

A bold green  charger grounds the Shamrock china with its embossed leaves.

The little mouse is tempting you to dine with him and his golden coins.



This is St Paddy's day, green tea is the only choice to be served in the wonderful cup and saucer.

My husband's favorite drink will be served, the bold green of Mountain Dew!!

In the pink Valentine mood

Valentine's Day is for lovers, family, friends, and neighbors.

The tablescape's china was discovered in the city of Yates Center, Kansas this fall. I knew the Shelly China, Sheraton pattern would be placed on my Valentine Day's table. (To discover how special Shelly China is refer to ruthw@antquesandteacups.blogspot.com )

Elegance is the moment you sit and enjoy a dramatic tablescape. Here the sun shines through the lace curtain and blue silk drapes casting a mesmerizing glow on the table.

Softness of light falls on the centerpiece of the many pink embossed Valentines on the rim of the cake stand placed on the lovely platter. 

Wide gold accents the pretty pink teapot, the pink roses and flowers brightens the white center band.  

The beautiful Shelly pattern of flowers are shown on the china's creamer and sugar bowl.

The bright pink candle holders and soft pink candles surround the creamer and sugar.

The candles also encase the oval vegetable bowl.

The full place setting gives a glimpse of the beauty of the china, crystal, and flatware.

A close up of the cream soup and saucer,

the salad plate,

and the dinner plate display the glory of Shelly.

A pink napkin is covered with a napkin crocheted with a dark pink edging. A pink glass napkin ring holds the set together. The flatware with a pink handle also has an embossed medal tip.

The champagne flute is hand blown with a pink heart encircling the bowl on a pink stem.

Tamaian is the etched signature on the flute.

A velvet pink pillow embroidered with sweet sayings ......... 

is tied with the sheer pink ribbon to the back of the chair! 

Have a sip of pink lemonade from the flute and a cup of hot tea with dessert.

Please choose a special tea to serve on this Valentine Day's party in the pink and gold teapot.

 Even the glass stem of the clear crystal candle holder creates the Valentine heart. Have a special day with all of your love ones.

Snowflakes settle softly

Silver and white create a winter wonderland.

 How delightful to come upon the
GRACE TEAWARE with silver snowflakes. 

Shopping at Homegoods

A large bowl of soup with fresh vegetables in a tomato base will warm you.

 The dinner plate will serve a ham and cheese quiche with a side of a congealed fruit salad.

The  white placemat and rolled napkin along with the clear crystal fork and napkin holder make a bold statement with its sparkle. 

 A touch of silver trim the Italian crystal goblet.

 A mug holds a hot  beverage to brace you from the winter cold.
 
The centerpiece is the surrounded by crystal candle holders and reticulated snowflakes circle the white lanterns plus the red candles give a accent of color. 

  The tea set with a cream and sugar with decoration of silver snowflakes makes a real contrast.

More bling comes to the table with the silver finial on crest of the teapot.

 This tea was chosen because of the red tin and its precious quote.

So I will pour you some more tea  and we can linger and discuss "The Good Times".

Thanksgivings - N - Blue

 A touch of blue will accent the

Thanksgiving Day's table. The centerpiece tureen by Kaldun and Bogle has acorns as the finial, antlers for handles and a beautiful fall scene. The creamer and sugar repeat the same fall shape combined with leaves of autumn hues.

Large and small touches of blue are seen in the lidded jar and small glass pumpkin. 

Tom Turkey is presented in his glory

among fall vegetables.  

 The colors of fall are shown in each piece. Again, accents of blue are in the small lidded ceramic pumpkin and the large cascading glazed  on the large pumpkin. 

Pheasants, ducks and turkeys are part of the fall setting. The Kaldun and Bogle pitcher compliments the other pieces created by them.

 The pheasant scene on the picture gives a insight to country setting. A different antler surround the footed pitcher.

 Autumnal place setting,

 the dinner plate shows its lovely blue filigree.

With blues, browns, and red plumage of Tom Turkey, your plate can be filled with all the trappings of Thanksgiving. 

 A pop of blue of the flatware handle, an embroided turkey on the golden napkin and a tiny duck represents a napkin ring. The orange pumpkin will hold a hearty pumpkin soup.

 The golden oak leafed goblet is complete with its tree trunk and branches are ready for one of several drinks that are available for dining. Even Texans drink sweeten ice tea on special days.

My favorite part of the table are the bronze antler candle holders .

 

The other bronze antler candle holders lights the western end of the table.

The table is prepared so we can graciously dine on the special day of the year. We will give thanks to God for our bounty and remember family members not able to attend.
