A Royal Christmas

The most royal china is of course Royal Copenhagen. The pattern is "Star Fluted" that graces our table.
The classic and elegant table is specially set for a Christmas tea for four.
The simply lovely shape of the tea set makes for a stunning Christmas scene.
The special golden shade is seen on the  round ball finial, the bells and pine cones in the garlanded pattern.
The green and gold hues in the candle holders and trees will be even more sparkling when the candles are lit and the crystal prisms will shimmer.
A superior place setting to serve tea and sweets beckons you to come and partake.
Many textures from the gold woven napkins to the green embossed holly placemats and the golden hammered flatware accent the tablescape.
Accompanying the gold napkin is a green beaded garlanded and red beaded napkin ring.
The dessert plate shows the garland pattern beginning with a red bow and greenery with Christmas toys hanging between each swag.
The cup has a gracefully curved handle calling for hands of love. The pattern with its hanging gold stars and hearts is another charming touch of this pattern.
This Italian made crystal goblet adds drama and special sophistication to the table.
The Swarovski crystals are encrusted in the golden stem as seen in this close-up.
Wishing you all a splendid Christmas cheer to all of your family and friends near and far.

Christmas Trees and Christmas Wishes

Surprises abound in this red and green Christmas tablescape.
Of course we are setting the table with Spode "Christmas Tree" a very traditional pattern.
Our Christmas centerpiece is set with charming pieces from Spode's many collections.
Spode Christmas Bear has a Christmas tree patterned box with a surprise of Christmas cookies to delight our guests.
Surrounding the bear are frosted green trees decorated with tiny ornaments.
Raised upon a red cake stand the Spode Christmas Tree pot with the candy cane handle adds to the my candy cane theme throughout the house this season. I will be serving a hot peppermint tea to add to the holiday theme.
Adding to the Christmas party theme is a precious girl bear shaker dressed in her Christmas Tree skirt with red bow.
The boy bear shaker is so festive in his red Santa hat and scarf.
The extra four dining chair are placed against the white chair rail. The gold designer paint on the walls shows off the accent white base board.
The demi-cups in the Spode pattern will contain a strong coffee to be served with dessert.
The silver candle holders filled with red and peppermint striped candles adds to the candy theme.
A Santa, a poinsettia, and a gas street light stand at each side of the entrance to dining room
The next surprise was the transfer of dining table from our Valarie house to our new home in Rockwall.
The four red Victorian chairs grace each side of the table and the Ralph Lauren rug add red, gold, blue, green and cream for a lively accent to the wooden floor and shutters.

The full place setting of Spode "Christmas Tree" welcomes everyone to dine.
The new scalloped dinner plates with an embossed green rim became my signature table design as soon as I saw them in the store. They are so different from the plain round plates of years past.
The full place setting is calling for turkey, dressing, cranberries and gravy to make the dining dream come true.
Accompanying the Christmas Tree pattern are their traditional napkin and peppermint rimmed butter plate. The green tree shaped napkin holders and the flatware are the perfect hue to the dinner plates.
A yule log will be served for dessert in honor of my father who always brought one to the Christmas dinner. The pastry fork and demitasse spoon are the perfect accompaniment for this dessert.
This Christmas mug will keep either the peppermint tea or apple cider very hot.
For merriment we will serve sparkling grape juice for a toast or two in the Christmas Tree goblets.

May all your wishes come true in this season of joy.
Merry Christmas to all!!!!

TOTALLY TURKEY

We are so happy that Thanksgiving Day is coming. All the turkey and fix'ins to celebrate an American holiday.
With Indians, pilgrims, and turkeys we come together to celebrate this American tradition.
To the right of the centerpiece a tea container...
To the left of the centerpiece the teapot stands out.
A close-up of the pilgrims surround the turkey salt shaker.

The Indians circle the sheaf of wheat pepper shaker.
The tureen will hold fresh pumpkin soup with creole lobster.
The proper pilgrims stand holding a pumpkin, plus corn and a cornucopia of fruit.
This brightly colored turkey wears his top hat and buttoned up shirt dressed to the nines.
Of course dreaming of pecan, lemon, and pumpkin pies brings a smile to our faces. Hot pumpkin spice tea will accompany the wonderful desserts.
Six place setting are for all of our family and guests.
Everything is turkey from the embroider napkins, turkey napkin rings, and the orange glass candle holders. The flatware has a faux brown wooden handle.
The golden ice beverage stemware will serve water or iced tea.
Williams and Sonoma provided the turkey plates for the table. Both the salad plate and....
the dinner plate boast a fully plumed turkey. The traditional brown transferware is echoed in the acorned pattern rim of the plate.
The place plate or charger with a plaid rim uses red, yellow, brown, and orange hues to accent the dinnerware.

May each of you be blessed with family and friends around a bountiful Thanksgiving table.

Ice and Hot Tea with Scarecrows and Sunflowers

With the sunrays shinning down the antique tea table. The sunflowers shaped plates are mixed matched in yellow and orange and your eye is drawn to the sunflower bouquet in a green metal watering can.
Scarecrows always make you smile as they guard the pumpkin teapot!
Each person has a choice of iced tea in the green goblet or......choice of hot teas
from Ginger Peach Tea or...
Lemongrass Ginger Tea from The English Tea Shop in cups and saucers which are on the side board(not pictured) .
Gardening scarecrows tend the fields.

Boy and girl scarecrows chase away the birds.
A simple place setting with colorful parts. Maxcera sunflower shaped plates in yellow and orange. The orange handled flatware is complemented by the green tea goblet.
A smiling face on the boy scarecrow cheers the table.
The girl scarecrow shows off sunflowers on her bonnet and dress.
Charming pumpkin salt and pepper shakers complement the center piece.
Gardener scarecrow holds up his hoe and black scarecrow.
Fellow scarecrow is ready with his shovel and crow perched on his lap.
Beautiful yellow and orange sunflowers napkins  are encircled by the metal napkin rings. This accents the orange and yellow sunflower shaped plates that are waiting for tea sandwiches to complete the tea table.
