Down by the sea!

Remember the song "Down by the Sea"? I loved the music and rhythm of the song and this came to mind with the vision of this tablescape. Don't you love the feel of walking barefoot along the shore with the song on the radio or I-pod and viewing the waves covering and uncovering shells as you pick a few from the sand!
The shell wreath encircles this cobalt candle.

The centerpiece is simulating the hues of the sea and sand!
The shell planter contains a green plant appearing replicating beach side greenery.
A classic blue striped teapot creates the stripes of ocean-side tents.
The lid of the teapot is viewed as a bird would fly over the top of your tent.
More blue stripes in the placemat anchor the white bone china dinner plate.
(These are Richard Ginori.'s white plates.)
Rim soup bowl is the same shape as the dinner plate.
(This pattern is "Conchiglie" by Richard Ginori.)
The close-up of seashells, seahorses, and waves imprinted in the bowl add the movement of the ocean.
Treat yourself and sit and wait to be served a bowl of gumbo!
The sandy sea napkin holds the blue wave handled flatware.
Blue hues of  rough and shiny texture gives more design.
A cup of tea will be served with dessert!

Water and sparkling lemonade served with the soup and entrée!
Listen to the sounds of the sea
from the shells of the sea!

A delicious and delectable dessert will be served on the salad/dessert plates! Picture the choclatey Mississippi pie!

Hi There,
I just love your royal blue table setting....you are so talented! I just retired from teaching kindergarten and was wondering if the song was similar to Down by the Bay? Where the watermelons grow, Back to my home, etc.

I am adding you to my favourites. I just love your previous post too.
Thanks for visiting me.
Have a wonderful week.
Take care,
Karen

I never ever see a table with cobalt accents that I don't want some myself. I love that color. It just pops right off the table. It's particularly beautiful in a seashore theme. I love it with the shells and dishware. Just flat lovely!
