Here Comes Peter Cottontail

Welcome to the world
of
Easter.

Peter Rabbit and his sisters, Flopsy, Mopsy and Cottontail are waiting for Easter. Their baskets are filled with beautiful Easter Eggs to pass out on April 20. 2014.

The Peter Rabbit tea set is by Wedgwood! The child size set was presented to me by husband after our son was born for he knew I love tea parties. It has been part of the collection of Peter Rabbit.
The tea the bunnies will serve is in a pink tin and is the India tea.

As Mrs. Rabbit readies the bunnies by helping them with their jackets. Spring is here and it is almost time for Easter.
The teapot and Peter Rabbit book have the illustrations and text are composing the story.

Part of my collection includes the Peter Rabbit Counting Book and contains Peter and other characters in the stories by Beatrix Potter!

A ceramic sign displays the Beatrix Potter collectibles, the two cups and saucers of the Peter Rabbit tea set, and two bunnies in white for salt and pepper.

Plush Peter Rabbit and a sister have colored their eggs and placed them in pastel checked covering a white Easter basket.

Each sister's jacket has an embroided name to identify their own. This jacket is for Miss Cottontail Rabbit.

The sister's, Flopsy and Mopsy. have also readied their  Easter baskets for April 20th!

The table topper is printed with bunnies, baskets and tulips.

The end of the table with the place setting for you sit down and enjoy.

A set of porcelain plates by Pottery Barn Kids is "The World of Beatrix Potter". Each has a blue. green, yellow or pink background with a checked rim.

The center of this plate has the three sisters napping by the lettuce patch.
The other end of the table is a place setting for me! I will be dining on the green Rabbit plate with an illustration of Mrs. Rabbit and Peter.

The close-up shows her buttoning his blue jacket before sending him out.

Another illustration displays Mrs. Rabbit talking to the sister bunnies. This plate has a yellow background with the checked rim.

The mother bunny is giving them a basket to gathering greens and maybe an egg!

The sister bunnies have brought home the greens. The pink plated also has the checked rim.

The little sisters are eating out of their bowl.

The pastel checks are popping up on the napkins and their are pink, green or yellow. An orange carrot is place on each napkin as a treat filled with candy!

A cute tiny bunny napkin ring encircles the pink checked napkin.

Peter Rabbit flatware matches the pastel plates from Pottery Barn Kids. The pink woven place mats adds a basis for each place setting.

Placed at the top of the place setting is a rabbit face egg with bunny ears which is placed in the tulip egg holder. This is another candy filled treat for each guest.

A pink ceramic basket contains speckled mini eggs.

Pottery Barn Kids has a sweet glass with two different illustrations matching the plates and flatware.

An elegant touch is created with the pink etched goblet with a clear stem!

The dining room is dressed for Easter and even the china cabinet has pink garlands and a Happy Easter wreath.

Sending you an Easter Greeting is Mrs. Pink Bear decked out in her pink Easter Ears and pink checked bow!

Little Miss White Bear dressed herself in white Easter Ears and wants to say,
" Have a Happy Easter Day "!!!!!

What an adorable post! I love Beatrix Potter and you have such a wonderful collection of it. My parents gave my children each a Peter Rabbit bowl and cup set when they were born. I have since passed them on to my grandbabies. This was delightful and thank you for linking it with Tea Time. Have a lovely day.

Blessings,
Sandi

Your Beatrix Potter plates are just adorable! This time of year I always check the $1 items at Target (in Tyler). So far I have found some BP coloring books and puzzles. It's fun to have them at Easter for the grandkids (okay, it's for me too!).

I can't remember if you have grandkids but if not - better adopt some for this table as they would love it! So cute!

This is so adorable! Your peter rabbit collection is wonderful from the stuffed rabbits, to the cute bunny dishes, and the silverware! The books and teapots are terrific. The tulip and bunny runner is a great touch.

I am probably one of the few people who did not get into the Beatrix Potter books as a child. I'm a late bloomer. It took until I had a child of my own for me to get with the program. Better late than never, I suppose! I LOVE your plates and glassware with the Potter images. They just have a way of bringing a sort of "comfort" to the table.

This is a tablescape that both little kids AND old kids could thoroughly enjoy. It makes me want to snuggle up with my kid and feed him! Problem is, my kid is 36 years old and would probably move to have me committed!! :-)

Neat, neat tablescape!

I am in love with your Pottery Barn plates! I had no idea that the Kids store had their own lines of dishes! Oh no! I will be in just as much trouble as Peter was when he lost his jacket. Everything is just so much fun on your table. The tea set is wonderful and it was so thoughtful of your husband to find it for you. Linda
