Father's Day 2014

Happy Father's Day!
This a special table for my husband and to thank him being a wonderful father to our son.
The chosen articles are to celebrate the outdoors which many men enjoy!
The Father's Day book has stories, sayings and poems to brighten his day!
I am so delighted to use these two mugs! Matt, a friend of the family, gave these to us and I have been saving them for this tablescape. They are from Bennett Spring State Park where his family has had a retreat and campgrounds. Matt works for a TV station, KSPR channel 33 ABC news, in Springfield, Mo. so if you are in the viewing area please watch for him on the Nightly News.
I plan on using my Fiesta green teapot and serving Green tea for the celebration.
By removing the teapot and stand, this sign pf the cabin and trees is more visible. The quote "Life at the cabin, brings families together."! A very appropriate saying for my family was blessed with my Great Aunt's cabin in the woods on the river where the family played, dined, and stayed for many fabulous years.
Each Father has many special talents and our family hopes every child can share this day with their own father.

I will be posting this on the following tea blogs;

Rose Chintz Cottage,

Artful Affirmations,
Martha's Favorites
and
Bernideen's Tea Time,
along with
the blogs of;
Cuisine Kathleen,
 A Stroll thru Life,
A Delightsome Life,
Between Naps On The Porch,
 and
The Tablescaper
are some of my favorites and
I will also post on them this week!

Not too many of us serve a masculine themed tea but what you have put together is wonderful! I hope your hubby enjoys your efforts on Father's Day.

What a sweet tea to honor your hubby, Pam. I have one planned for later on this week. I have been especially sad about Father's Day coming up...so many "firsts".

What a wonderful masculine setting for tea to honor the King of the home! Your hubby deserves the best for being such a wonderful father and husband too. I love your Fiesta Green teapot and the mugs are great! I am thnking of making a buffet table for a change, and masculine as you have; as I will have 8 people at home to celeb hubby.
Have a lovely week.

What a fun theme for your tea! Perfect mugs for the occasion! I love that my dad would make a pot of tea for my mom and have some with her at night. Now, they still have tea, but by the cup. It is probably what started me with my love of tea.! Hope you guys have a great holiday!

Love those mugs! And what a great "Father's Day" table! There is always so much "feminine" on blogs but it's nice to see a masculine one!
